Henkel’s Teroson EP high-performance structural inserts can help car manufacturers not only to improve performance and safety but also enable the designer to potentially downgauge the thickness of sheet metals and reduce the number of parts for lightweighting. The Henkel Teroson EP structural insert is a high-performance three-dimensional engineered hybrid part that consists of two main components, the “carrier” and the “structural foam”, that are manufactured through injection molding process into the final parts. By utilizing the cavity in the car body, Henkel’s structural inserts achieve better distribution of load path, increased body stiffness, rigidity, and enhanced durability.
