Unlocking the Potential of Sustainable Packaging Solutions

The Packaging Adhesives business in Thailand has successfully hosted Sustainability Days Conference in June. The event brought together a diverse audience of 140 attendees, including packaging producers, converters, brand owners, retailers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), consulting companies, and associations, who gathered to gain insights into Henkel's sustainable practices across the packaging value chain.

The event emphasized the importance of understanding the true value that packaging offers and its impact on our overall environmental footprint, particularly in today's complex packaging landscape.

During this event, Henkel placed a strong emphasis on highlighting the significant value of sustainable solutions for brands, OEMs, and converters. By understanding and meeting the needs of consumers, we drive sustainability and offer diverse solutions throughout the packaging value chain. Our tailored solutions seize the potential of sustainable packaging designs, providing our customers with added value for their packaging businesses.

Adhesive Technologies’ approach to sustainable packaging is to RETHINK everything, by relooking at formulations, products, previous manufacturing methods, design processes, disposal solutions and materials, and help solve current and future environmental and social challenges focusing on three topics:

1. Carbon Footprint Reduction:

We develop products that contribute to emissions reduction by utilizing less CO2-intensive raw materials and formulating solutions that enable CO2 emission savings during production and product usage phases.

2. Circular Economy:

Our adhesives and coatings are designed to facilitate circular solutions through compatibility with recycling processes, debonding capabilities, innovative designs, and sustainable raw materials.

3. Health and Safety:

We prioritize product safety standards, ensuring our offerings surpass industry norms, delivering superior safety during production, application, and end-use.
