Step by Step Guide
Cleaning - It is recommended to use LOCTITE® SF 7070 Cleaner & Degreaser to degrease and clean surfaces prior to applying adhesive. Activation - If cure speed is too slow due to passive metals (stainless steel, aluminum and plated metals) or low temperatures (below 5°C), use LOCTITE® SF 7649 activator. Allow to dry.
Starting one to two threads from leading edge of pipe, apply a 360° band to cover at least three thread roots. For bigger threads, apply both on male and female threads. (Recommended dispensing equipment: LOCTITE® Dial-A-Seal® Applicator)
Assemble fittings using wrench tightening in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations.
Disassemble with standard hand tools. If not possible, apply localized heat to approximately 500°F and disassemble while hot.
