Dress shoes and sandals are commonly made of leather, synthetic PU, and other man-made materials, which are not always easy to bond together. Henkel’s portfolio of adhesives are up for the challenge, while also offering low odor and sustainability.

Polyurethane Hot Melts (PURHM)

Athletic footwear has a wide range of different, difficult-to-bond materials, and manufacturing them requires flexible adhesives. Henkel’s PUR hot melts effectively reduce production steps, ensure lower labor, energy consumption and total production cost for a more durable, heat- resistant, higher-end quality product.

One-side Adhesive

A one-side adhesive (OSA) is designed to eliminate cementing on either the upper surface or bottom surface of the bonding interfaces during shoe assembly process, increased production by 21% per hour while reducing chemical output for safer working conditions.
