STEP 1

Preparation of the cartridge  (1/2)

Pre-heat the product with a side by side oven (product) to 60 °C for the wide stream seam. Before you put the cartridge in the side by side oven, open the bottom with the cartridge opener

STEP 2

Pretreat the surface

Bonding surfaces have to be cleaned from oil, grease, dust and any other contaminations. Clean the bonding surfaces with TEROSON® VR 10 using a lint-free cloth.

STEP 3

Prepare the cartridge (2/2)

To open the cartridge, use the cartridge opener. The cartridge must be opened at the top.
Screw the flat stream nozzle onto the pre-heated cartridge.

STEP 4

Prepare the dispenser

Insert cartridge into the TEROSON® Powerline II and screw on black screw collar.
Adjusting screws:
Blue adjusting screw = air pressure.

STEP 5a

Application of flat stream seams

Warm material (recommended on the vehicle for these structures - substrate behaviour):

  • 6-8 bar white nozzle narrow seam approx. 5- 10cm distance to substrate
  • 10-13 bar white nozzle normal seam (rear panel outside, boot inside)

Distance to substrate approx. 5- 10cm

STEP 5b

Application of wide stream seams

Distance to substrate

  • 18-20 bar silver nozzle wide seam ( insulation, acoustic panels in doors, trunk floor, etc ) approx.10- 15cm distance to substrate
  • Tape should be applied at the beginning and end

STEP 6

Painting

After skin formation has been reached (approx. 10 min), the seamed parts can be painted.

Optional

Additional application tools

There are different application tools that can simplify the application. E.g. the flexible hose allows you to work even in areas with minimal space. A spacer can be used to keep equal distance to the surface or to guide along the edges.
