Get the Materials

In vehicle repair it is crucial to reproduce the same quality and visual appearance provided by the original OEM seams to avoid corrosion. With the below instruction you can recreate standard brush textures and standard seams.

STEP 1

Surface Treatment

Clean all contamination from the surfaces and pre-treat sealing area with TEROSON® VR 10

STEP 2

Before application

Remove bottom cover and open cartridge. Screw on nozzle tightly. Insert cartridge and adjust nozzle to working position. For spacing and in between sealing use TEROSON® RB II (cartridge or profiled tape).

STEP 3a

Application — Brush texture

You can either apply the adhesive directly with a special hard brush or you can finish an existing fresh applied bead with it.

STEP 3b

Application — Standard bead

Produced by extruding sealant from a cartridge/foil pack through a nozzle. For the application of standard beads, there mainly exist two different nozzle types: The door edge nozzle and the standard nozzle. Use for basic sealing and gap-filling applications.

STEP 3c

Application — Sealing Tape

  • Spray-on sealing tape (TEROSON® RB II)
  • Plastic sealing tape (TEROSON® RB 81)
  • Plastic sealing tape, round profile (see picture) (TEROSON® RB VII)
