The only professional training academy for flexible packaging industry in IMEA

Henkel Flexible Packaging Academy in Mumbai, which was inaugurated in February 2015, provides training based on the principle of 'Learning by Doing'. The training program conducted in collaboration with Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), combines essential theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training. This state-of-the-art academy, provides IIP certified training on lamination technology to entrepreneurs, production managers, supervisors, operators, quality controllers and other professionals of the flexible packaging industry in the India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) region.

The modules are designed to cover all the aspects of flexible packaging lamination techniques through practical experience on commercial scale lamination machine. The training sessions include topics on printing, lamination, web handling, finished product testing, substrates, their properties and material handling. Methods of producing healthy laminates and troubleshooting are the key highlights of the training.

Game changer initiative

In this low margin industry, wastages are huge, which if properly addressed could result in significant savings and profit for the company. The academy focuses on achieving this through proper training. The 5-day training program is followed by the implementation phase, wherein the participant's performance on shop floor post training is reviewed for three months, to ensure that implementation of all that is learnt during the program results in savings for the company.
