Adhesives for easier repairs
Henkel has developed two high performance adhesives for gluing body components. Due to their light weight and new materials, as well as their combination in vehicle construction, adhesives with high crash safety and a wide adhesion spectrum are becoming increasingly important for the vehicle repair market.
Innovations: Teroson EP 5065 and Teroson MS 9221
At the Automechanika, two proven products from the Teroson range will be presented as further improved versions. Teroson EP 5065 is a high performance adhesive for body repairs. Thanks to its improved crash characteristics, the epoxy resin adhesive is especially suitable for adhesions on the roof and side panels. Teroson MS 9221 is a power bonding for gluing metal to metal, plastics and wood.
The improved Teroson EP 5065 is distinguished by its very high crash resistance due to its elasticity. The innovation from Henkel, the world's largest adhesive manufacturer is especially suitable for structural adhesions in highly stressed vehicle components. When heated to 80 °C the adhesive cures within 30 minutes. Even without the use of a primer, Teroson EP 5065 has excellent adhesive properties for gluing coated and non-coated metals such as steel and aluminium.
Teroson MS 9221 now available in different colours
The new Teroson MS 9221 is an MS polymer and is suitable as a power bonder for various materials on the vehicle. Typical examples are, e.g. spoilers and decoration strips or mouldings. Application is carried out with all standard adhesive guns. Whereas the previous product was only available in black, grey and white versions are now available, which further increases the range of use. The excellent adhesive strength and high durability of the product remains unchanged. Teroson MS 9221 also offers new fields of use due to the fact that it can be painted over with all car paints without problems.
