Smiles All Around

Little patients’ faces lit up when special guest Mr Pritt joined their party at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, South Africa. The event was part of the “Smile Foundation’s Smile Week” at the hospital. The NGO “Smile Foundation” provides life-changing surgeries for children with facial abnormalities during weeks such as this one.

Hospitals can be somber places, but Mr Pritt brought some fun and laughter to the ward. Khensani Sambo, Henkel Trade Marketing Coordinator, handed out Mr Pritt plush toys, goodie bags and colorful T-shirts, which the children put on straight away. Most of them could not wait to show off their new T-shirts and pose for a photo with Mr Pritt.

“It was an emotional day. We were touched by the children and their difficulties, yet inspired by their positive attitudes. It’s great to see what a difference we are making during the children’s stay at the hospital,” says Sambo. “We look forward to helping this NGO, which does such inspiring work. Spending time with them and giving them some gifts is the least that we can do.”
